Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the Refinery Hotel is a bold transformation of a historic hat factory into a 150-room boutique destination. Bobby Mukherrji Architects led the design and refurbishment of over 75% of the property, seamlessly blending industrial heritage with contemporary elegance. Drawing inspiration from the building's past, the design embraces the theme of fashion and craftsmanship. Original elements referencing the hat-making legacy are thoughtfully preserved and reinterpreted throughout the interiors – creating a distinctive ambiance that celebrates the site's storied history. The guest rooms, offered in various shapes and layouts, reflect New York’s dynamic character through rich textures, bespoke detailing, and modern comforts. With every corner designed to surprise and delight, the Refinery Hotel offers an immersive experience that pays homage to its artisanal roots while catering to the sensibilities of the modern traveler.
