Plush and luxurious, Al Di La is Conrad Pune’s rooftop restaurant, currently the preferred eating-out destination for the city’s discerning crowd. The entry is orchestrated through a long mirrored ramp that heralds the dramatic, almost theatrical narrative that unfolds within. Bobby Mukherrji Architects crafted its large footprint, which is modulated into indoor and outdoor sections with their own bars, both articulated as bespoke, richly detailed, and immersive environments that afford stunning city views .
The glass walls that form the segregating element between these two areas fold back fully, creating a larger vibrant canvas. While the popular outdoor bar allows guests to enjoy the city’s beautiful evenings and winters, it can be closed fully in inclement weather. Floors are clad in Armani bronze European marble, while hammered limestone slabs have been procured from Italy for the outdoor walls. Decorative and technical lighting was imported from RH New York and iGuzzini, respectively. The piece de resistance is the screen crafted from metal and handblown glass blocks with bubbles trapped within. Lit from within, each block is beautifully highlighted, establishing a surreal and dramatic composition.
