Positioned as InterContinental Group's Indian flagship, this 300-key Whitefield property will largely service the nearby software parks and glocal IT players. Bobby Mukherrji Architects crafted the design to reflect the significance of the property for the group.
The hotel's design centers on the massive, stellar atrium, which soars to a height of 12 storeys and provides the heart of the structure. This enormous central feature serves as the primary congregational space, featuring seating islands and lounges, and all 300 rooms and corridors look into it. Overall, the design language follows a path of subtle sophistication, utilizing lavish materiality and textural surfaces applied in an understated manner.
The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, rendered in a soothing palette of grey and mushroom accented with black. The styling is crisp, clean, and contemporary, designed to resonate with the modern sensibilities of the technologically-aware audience. Large artworks uphold and intensify the plush vibe. F&B amenities provide variety both gastronomically and visually: the all-day dining, sited in the atrium, will be lush with vegetation. A Pan-Asian restaurant with immersive, nuanced interiors also joins the F&B brigade. Catering to a younger demographic is another large bar with grungy-chic interiors, offering indoor and outdoor sections. Finally, the patisserie will be articulated as a light-filled, striking glass box.
