Demonstrating how well-researched design can positively impact revenues for a hospitality brand, the Jaipur Marriott was designed by Bobby Mukherrji Architects. The 375-room property notched several firsts in the Rajasthani market in terms of design as well as product offerings, and upon its unveiling, was counted among the top six Marriott properties in India .
The property's spatial layout purposefully moved away from the prevalent purely vernacular aesthetic, instead opting to integrate traditional elements with contemporary infusions. The core design strategy centered on captivating the discerning local audience through a strong food and beverage footprint, thereby maximizing income during the slower summer tourist season. This approach established a massive 15,000-square-foot all-day dining area that showcased interactive kitchens and novel cuisines, including teppanyaki and sushi, representing new market offerings for city residents.
A lounge bar was strategically integrated into the main lobby, successfully injecting energy and vibrancy into the space via spirited weekend gatherings attended by the city’s prominent residents. Furthermore, the hotel’s expansive banqueting facilities have developed into a robust revenue stream, capitalizing on the rise of destination weddings and confirming the enduring success of the initial design plan.
