This 25-storey residential tower establishes a unique Rajasthani styling amidst the modern high-rises of Goregaon, Mumbai. The architectural direction was a direct client mandate, intended to create a market offering that appeals to Mumbaikars with roots in Rajasthan. The client’s confidence in this market differentiator stemmed from observing Bobby Mukherrji Architects' skillful handling of hospitality projects requiring a contemporary interpretation of the region's vernacular style.
The chosen direction pervades the architecture, interiors, and landscaping. The facade fenestration prominently features the traditional, ornate multifoil arch, along with jaali-screens and jharokhas inspired by Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal . These elements lend a unique period character to the built-form and also provide essential ventilation for service shafts and bathrooms. Dramatic lighting further enhances the beauty of these elevational features. Inside, the arched form repeats as a key motif in niches, evoking the Rajasthani haveli through ornate fixtures, decorative material treatments, and striking flooring patterns.
The rooftop experience forms the visual apogee of the design. Lush planting cocoons vibrantly-floored spaces used for congregation and wellness regimes; domed seating pavilions anchor the corners; and rhythmic arches embrace the border, giving the space a delightful old-world character. The program includes grand lift lobbies, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool with a deck, a gym, a games room, and a business center facility.
