This expansive assignment involved crafting the interior spaces for a three-generation family dwelling situated in the upscale Panchsheel Enclave locality of South Delhi. The project canvas is impressive, spanning 20,000 square feet across four levels (ground plus three storeys). The prominent family, distinguished professionals within the judicial system, expressed a clear preference for a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic. This direction was executed through crisp, clean compositions reflecting European, specifically Italian, sensibilities.
The airy interiors feature a light, tone-on-tone color direction, predominantly utilizing whites, creams, and beiges, with black accents appearing in the hardware and lighting fixtures. The luxurious materiality is defined by the creamy, pinkish Estremos Portuguese marble laid across the floor, complemented by walls covered in light wood tones. Elegant furniture, sourced from a range of premium European brands, populates this sophisticated environment. Lighting plays a key role in defining zones: technical and mood lights, procured from Spain, infuse the residence with varied atmospheres, ranging from bright and energetic to soft and intimate.
The spatial program includes a formal living room, a family room with a large dining table, a tranquil temple room, wide hallways, and a striking staircase. The extensive study provides a conducive setting for virtual meetings and legal matters, equipped with superior video conferencing technology. Bedrooms comprise two large master suites that each incorporate separate seating lounges, separated from the sleeping areas by a sliding door. Expansive ensuite bathrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art fixtures and fittings, specifically designed to encourage relaxation after demanding schedules.
