Bobby Mukherrji Architects designed a stunning Luxury Resort & Spa in Mahe, spread across 3.5 lakh sq. ft., bringing the essence of upscale colonial plantation architecture to life. Set on a linear spindle-shaped plot that stretches half a kilometer along the beach, the resort offers breathtaking ocean views from every room. The architecture emphasizes light colors, open spaces, and a spread-out layout that perfectly complements the island’s natural beauty, creating an atmosphere of serene luxury for its guests.
The resort, affiliated with a prestigious UK-based five-star hotel brand, features 250 rooms, all designed to offer unobstructed views of the beach and the shallow blue waters of the Indian Ocean. The layout is ideal for water sports; ensuring guests can enjoy the sea safely. Key amenities include a bar, specialty restaurant, all-day dining, and a serviced apartment block. A separate building houses a casino, enhancing the resort's appeal to high-end visitors.
In addition to its infinity pool and large convention center, the resort boasts grand ballrooms with ocean-facing balconies, a spacious lobby, and a dedicated kids' club. Special attention was given to preserving the existing trees on the historic site, which once housed Seychelles' first five-star hotel, famously visited by Queen Elizabeth. This combination of luxury, history and natural beauty makes the resort a one-of-a-kind destination.
